MUTARE, 20 May 2026 – Delta Beverages, through its flagship brand Castle Lager, today donated 10 state-of-the-art hospital beds to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital as part of a nationwide programme aimed at improving public healthcare services.

The donation is part of Castle Lager’s pledge to distribute 100 hospital beds across Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces following the brand’s 10th anniversary National Castle Lager Brand Day celebrations.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Delta Regional Sales Manager Julius Chirara said the company was committed to giving back to communities that support its business.

“We pledged to donate one hundred state-of-the-art hospital beds, which will be distributed across the ten provinces of the country,” said Chirara.

“Delta Beverages remains committed to supporting national development and investing in the well-being of the communities that form the foundation of our success.”

Chirara said the Mutare donation marked the third handover under the programme and expressed hope that the beds would improve healthcare delivery at the provincial referral hospital.

“We trust that this donation will support your ongoing efforts to deliver quality healthcare and enhance patient comfort across your facility,” he said.

Receiving the donation, Medical Superintendent Dr Hillary Makiwa praised Delta Beverages for partnering with the hospital, saying the beds would improve patient care and comfort in the wards.

“This support will directly improve patient comfort and care in our wards. Your commitment to giving back to the community is truly appreciated,” said Dr Makiwa.

“We appreciate Delta Beverages for partnering with us. This is the beginning of what we hope will be a long-lasting relationship.”

Senior Nursing Officer 2 Shella Chimbetete also thanked Delta Beverages for the donation, describing it as a significant contribution towards better healthcare delivery.

“We pledge to put these beds to good use for the benefit of our patients,” said Chimbetete.

“May this mark the beginning of continued collaboration between Mutare Provincial Hospital and Delta Beverages.”
