MUTARE, 8 August 2026 — Bishop Dr Clarence Mafararikwa has launched Pedah International Ministries, paving the way for the ministry’s official unveiling and commissioning in Mutare on Sunday.
The seasoned pastor, lecturer and theologian launched the new ministry yesterday ahead of Sunday’s special Ministry Commissioning and Unveiling Service at the Hellenic Community Hall, Number 29 First Street, Mutare.
The Sunday gathering, scheduled to run from 8:30am to 12 noon, will be held under the theme “Destined for His Glory”, drawn from Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”
Organisers have invited residents of Mutare and surrounding areas to attend what they describe as a major spiritual gathering featuring worship, prayer, deliverance, healing and empowerment.
Bishop Dr Mafararikwa, whose ministry roots are in the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM), will lead the inaugural service alongside Amai.
The name PEDAH is derived from the Hebrew root padah, meaning “to redeem”, “to ransom” or “to deliver”. The biblical meaning closely aligns with the ministry’s stated focus on deliverance, healing, worship and empowerment.
The ministry’s motto is “Transforming Lives Through Christ.”
Bishop Dr Mafararikwa’s background in Pentecostal ministry, theology and lecturing has shaped his approach to preaching, teaching, leadership development and Christian ministry.
The launch of Pedah International Ministries marks a new chapter in his pastoral journey, while Sunday’s unveiling is expected to formally introduce the ministry and its vision to the wider Mutare community.
Organisers are calling on residents to attend the service for what they describe as a day of powerful ministration, inspiring messages and life-changing encounters.
