Mutare Town Clerk Blessing Chafesuka Kapuya has been named the Best Performing Town Clerk in Zimbabwe, following the announcement of the 2026 Performance Contracts Awards held in Harare today.
Chafesuka’s recognition places the Mutare City Council at the top among local authorities across the country, acknowledging his administrative leadership and performance in driving service delivery within the municipality.
The awards ceremony also recognized other leaders from Manicaland for their performance.
The Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon. Advocate Misheck Mugadza, was named First Runner-Up for Best Performing Minister of State.
Meanwhile, Manicaland Permanent Secretary Mr. Abiot Maronge also received third place among the best performing Permanent Secretaries.
These accolades highlight Manicaland Province’s growing prominence in public sector performance and leadership recognition at the national level.
