Mutare police have launched investigations after the body of an infant was discovered dumped in a bin along Hebert Chitepo Street on Friday.
According to police, the baby, estimated to be between seven and eight months old, was found abandoned on September 6.
The body has since been taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Police have appealed to members of the public with information that may assist in the investigations to report at any nearest police station.
