MUTARE<\/strong> \u2013 It was a day of brilliance and creativity at Mutare Girls High School on Wednesday where students from across Manicaland gathered for the annual Winter Festival, a dynamic celebration of student talent and intellect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was hosted by Mutare Girls High and organised by Royal Studio Africa, a youth-driven organisation that continues to champion educational and creative platforms across the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival featured intense competitions in quiz, public speaking, and poetry\u2014drawing participation from both host students and visiting schools. It was a colourful display of youthful confidence, academic strength, and artistic expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quiz Competition \u2013 Top 5 Teams
1. Chitakatira High School \u2013 Took first place with an outstanding performance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Leadermould Team 2 \u2013 Showed strong knowledge and strategy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Mutare Girls High Team 2 \u2013 Represented their school with pride<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Mutare Girls High Team 1 \u2013 Maintained a strong presence<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Leadermould Team 1 \u2013 Completed the top five with commendable effort<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public Speaking \u2013 Top 5 Speakers
1. Tatenda Obrey \u2013 Delivered a powerful, engaging speech to win the category<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Vimbai Dhliwayo \u2013 Captivated the audience with confidence and clarity<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Tinashe Mudondo \u2013 Spoke passionately and persuasively<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Tinevimbo Musabora \u2013 Shared thoughtful insights with poise<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Quinton Chikuni \u2013 Demonstrated solid argumentation and style<\/p>\n\n\n\n

English Poetry \u2013 Top 5 Performers
1. Johdel Manyuchi \u2013 Claimed first with emotionally rich verses<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Ngonidzashe Mangezi \u2013 Delivered moving, well-crafted poetry<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Erica Musekiwa \u2013 Stood out with lyrical creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Brenda Chitambo \u2013 Left an impression with vivid storytelling<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Elshadai Sipeya \u2013 Performed a powerful and expressive piece<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shona Poetry \u2013 Top Performers
1. Tatenda Chando \u2013 Moved the audience with a passionate and cultural delivery<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Takudzwa Chiyerengo \u2013 Earned second with a deeply resonant poem<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking after the event, Quiz Master Tanyaradzwa Kufa praised the festival for giving students meaningful engagement after exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter exams every term, we do quiz, debate, public speaking in Shona, English and French, and poetry so that students have something that occupies them,\u201d Kufa said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Royal Studio Africa which was Founded by David Mamvura, is a youth-focused organisation registered under the Ministry of Youth, Empowerment and Vocational Training. It promotes youth development through ICT, communication, leadership training, and advocacy. The organisation is known for spearheading academic and creative events across Manicaland, including the recent Manicaland Provincial Debate Tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director David Mamvura says Royal Studio Africa\u2019s mission is to create platforms where young people can thrive intellectually and creatively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur goal is to nurture critical thinking, confidence, and innovation in students. The Winter Festival is just one of many platforms we use to achieve that,\u201d said Mamvura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Royal Studio Africa at the helm and schools like Mutare Girls High offering space and support, the Winter Festival proved once again that Manicaland\u2019s students are full of talent, potential, and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
