Karenyi Donates School Furniture to Murahwa Primary Using CDF"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>By Heather Buzuzi<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>| Mutare | May 21, 2025<\/em> &#8211; Murahwa Primary School in Chikanga has received a donation of 240 chairs and 24 desks from Honourable Lynette Karenyi, the Member of Parliament for Chikanga Constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The handover ceremony took place on Friday afternoon, with the furniture purchased through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking during the event, Hon. Karenyi said the donation is part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in the constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is more than just a delivery of desks and chairs; it is a strong step towards creating a better learning environment for our children. This contribution surely makes a lasting difference,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The handover was attended by education officials, school authorities, and community members. Representing the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr. Mapungwana expressed gratitude to the MP for prioritizing the education sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe thank Hon. Karenyi for remembering the education sector. Such contributions go a long way in improving the learning environment,\u201d said Mapungwana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creezin Sithole Chofamba, City of Mutare Educational Officer, echoed similar sentiments, stating that the MP\u2019s support makes it easier for schools and communities to address educational needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Murahwa Primary School headmaster Mr. Zvondaitirwa also welcomed the donation, saying the school will now redirect funds meant for furniture to other pressing needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis gesture eases our burden. We will use the tuition fees collected for other school developments,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement released after the handover, Hon. Karenyi gave an update on the CDF projects undertaken in Chikanga. These include the tiling of the science block and ablution facilities at St. Mary\u2019s High School and the fitting of a combined Biology and Chemistry laboratory at Chikanga Secondary School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While acknowledging ongoing challenges, including unresolved infrastructure issues like bridges, Hon.
