Acting on intelligence, police intercepted a Toyota Hilux at the Bubye Valley Conservancy entrance gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrests: \u201cOn 28\/03\/26, Police in Beitbridge arrested Archwel Mutanga (43), Shakemore Mugombe (36) and Brighton Mavusi (27) for unlawful possession of dagga.\u201d He added that a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of \u201cfive bales and 63 cobs of dagga, with an approximate total weight of 230 kg.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a second, larger seizure just over a week later, authorities targeted a commercial truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn 07\/04\/26, Police in Beitbridge acted on a tip-off and arrested a truck driver, Lazarous Chenjerai (52), for unlawful possession of dagga at the Beitbridge Border Post,\u201d said Commissioner Nyathi. Detectives searched the truck, which was carrying assorted goods.
