The smaller vehicle was carrying three people at the time of the impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 One person died instantly at the scene.<br>\u00b7 Two others from the BT-50 sustained serious injuries and have been rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 The driver of the haulage truck was also injured and could not walk after the crash. He has since been rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emergency services remain on site as traffic is heavily affected along Takawira Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest tragedy comes just one day after another serious accident involving a haulage truck on Christmas Pass. In that incident, the truck lost its brakes while descending the mountain, veered off the road, and crashed into someone\u2019s house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents and motorists are now warning that the stretch \u2013 including the BP Murambi area and the Pass \u2013 is fast becoming a black spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTwo heavy truck accidents in two days, both with serious outcomes.
