Barbra Rwodzi, said this year\u2019s expo, the first to be held outside Bulawayo since its inception, had attracted buyers from at least 23 countries, making it one of the biggest tourism trade gatherings on the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe 18th Sanganai in Mutare has brought together 84 foreign buyers and 450 exhibitors, both international and local, as well as tourist buyers from about 23 countries,\u201d Rwodzi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Mnangagwa described the expo as a \u201cdynamic marketplace\u201d that connects Zimbabwe\u2019s tourism assets with global investors and tour operators. He said tourism was central to Zimbabwe\u2019s economic growth, contributing 15 percent to GDP in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTourism is a global powerhouse for economic development.
