Tongai Mnangagwa, who delivered the keynote address on behalf of Minister Barbara Rwodzi at the Zimbabwe Tourism Investment Forum held at the Golden Peacock Villa Hotel in Mutare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mnangagwa said the growth was underpinned by improved air connectivity, aggressive destination marketing, and Zimbabwe\u2019s peace and stability.<br>\u201cEvery dollar invested in Zimbabwean tourism creates multiple streams of benefits \u2014 for investors, for local businesses, and for ordinary citizens,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are determined to make tourism investment inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. Advocate Misheck Mugadza, welcomed delegates to Manicaland, describing the province as a \u201cstrategic investment hub\u201d with unmatched natural and cultural attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cManicaland is not just a tourist destination; it is a land of beauty, culture, and limitless opportunity,\u201d Mugadza said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom Nyanga and Vumba to Chimanimani and Mutarazi Falls, this province offers unique opportunities for eco-tourism, agri-tourism, and cultural heritage tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are ready to partner with investors to turn these resources into engines of growth and job creation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that hosting the forum in Mutare demonstrated government\u2019s commitment to devolving tourism development in line with Vision 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cProvinces like Manicaland are engines of growth, and investing here means empowering local communities and ensuring that tourism revenues circulate within our districts,\u201d Mugadza said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum, running under the theme \u201cUnlocking Tourism Investment Opportunities for Local Economic Development,\u201d has attracted government officials, diplomats, industry leaders, and potential investors from Zimbabwe and abroad.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Fanuel Chinowaita MUTARE 9 September 2025\u2013 Zimbabwe\u2019s tourism sector generated over US$1.2 billion in receipts from 1.6 million international arrivals in 2024, with investments worth US$190.5 million recorded \u2014 a 7% increase from 2023.
