MUTARE, 12 April 2026 – MaBoozer Akarongeka Social League (MASL), received a boost in equipment following a donation of balls from EBI Mutare Driving School.
Frank Bhunu, Chairperson of the league, confirmed the receipt of the equipment while clarifying the league’s unique operational model, which does not require traditional affiliation fees from its veteran members.
“We received balls from EBI Mutare Driving School, and we are also engaging other partners,” Bhunu stated. “There is no affiliation fee here. These are the fruits of affiliation. The maboozer should not pay affiliation.”
Chairperson Bhunu emphasized that despite the absence of mandatory fees, the league remains committed to providing substantial benefits to its participants, including jerseys, medals, and what he termed “travelling skapades.”
The league, known formally as Maboozer Akarongeka, currently accommodates players aged 35 years and above. However, Bhunu revealed that the age requirement is set to change in the coming season.
“Maboozer Akarongeka takes players who are 35 years and above. Next year we will strictly take from 40 years and above,” Bhunu confirmed.
Efforts to obtain comment from EBI Mutare Driving School were unsuccessful by the time of publication.
