Mutare – What was meant to be a thrilling Chibuku Super Cup clash at Sakubva Stadium turned sour today after pitch invasions during halftime angered hundreds of football fans.
Scotland FC edged Green Fuel FC 1-0 in a tense encounter, but the victory was overshadowed by chaos in the stands and on the field.
Spectators voiced frustration over the apparent lack of security control, with dozens of people freely walking onto the playing field during the break. “We came for football, not confusion,” one supporter said, adding that the incident disrupted the match’s atmosphere.
While the winning goal sealed Scotland’s triumph, the post-match conversation was dominated by calls for better crowd management at the iconic Mutare venue.
