Buhera, Murambinda, August 4, 2025 – Telecommunications giant NetOne, in partnership with the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC), on Saturday held a highly successful #MunhuWesekuNetOne roadshow at Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera, bringing essential mobile services closer to rural communities.

The event, which attracted hundreds of residents, saw the NetOne team engaging directly with customers offering services such as OneMoney registrations, SIM card sales, and SIM replacements.

Speaking during the roadshow, a NetOne official said the initiative aimed to bridge the digital gap by ensuring that rural communities are not left behind in the fast-growing digital economy.

“Our mission is to connect every Zimbabwean regardless of location. Today’s turnout in Murambinda shows us that people want to be part of that digital journey,” the official said.

The roadshow was not only about service delivery, but also community interaction and entertainment. Music, dance competitions, and interactive sessions kept the crowd energized throughout the day.

Residents expressed appreciation for the outreach, saying the initiative saved them from travelling long distances to access services.

“We are grateful that NetOne came to us. I managed to register for OneMoney without going to Mutare,” said one resident.

The event also showcased the growing partnership between NetOne and ZBC in promoting digital inclusion and public awareness.

The #MunhuWesekuNetOne campaign continues to roll out across Zimbabwe, with the aim of reaching more underserved areas and expanding access to mobile financial services and connectivity.
