Junior and Senior Golfers at Eve Golf Academy

Mutare, August 3, 2025 – Budding golfers converged at Eve Golf Academy yesterday for an exciting Golf Skills Competition, which saw juniors and seniors showcase their talent in categories such as longest drive, nearest to the pin, and hole-in-one attempts.

Speaking at the event, Eve Golf Academy coach Tanaka Kunze said the competition is part of their ongoing efforts to nurture golf talent from a young age.

“At Eve Academy, we train people from as young as 4 years old up to 80. Today’s competition involved both juniors and seniors — boys and girls — and focused on longest drives, hitting near the pin, and scoring into the hole,” she said.

The academy, located in Mutare, has been growing steadily in popularity, offering training in core golf skills such as pitching, drives, and ball control.

Another coach, Stephen Zhou, popularly known as Coach Stavo, said he is currently training between 30 and 40 juniors. He expressed pride in the progress being made by his students.

“We’ve already groomed about four juniors who can now play at national level. In the next 2 to 3 months, I expect even more to rise to that standard. We’re working with six schools that send students for training,” said Zhou.
