Unity Stars Extend Lead in ZIFA Manicaland Division 2A After Narrow Win Over Sisal Stars

Gomorefu, Bocha Marange– Unity Stars, a rural football team based at Gomorefu High School in Bocha Marange, continue to assert their dominance in the ZIFA Manicaland Division 2A League after edging Sisal Stars 1–0 in a crucial top-of-the-table clash over the weekend.

The vital away win cements Unity Stars’ position at the summit of the standings with 33 points from 14 matches. They have now recorded 10 wins, 3 draws, and just 1 loss this season, with 29 goals scored and only 16 conceded — a remarkable +13 goal difference.

Sisal Stars, who were trailing closely behind, were left frustrated as the loss sees them stuck in third place with 26 points from 13 games.

Unity Stars’ disciplined defensive unit and clinical edge in attack continue to be the cornerstone of their unbeaten run since Matchday 5. The team’s rise from a rural setting in Bocha Marange to provincial leadership is inspiring a wave of support across Manicaland.
