Mutare, July 3, 2025 – A fire broke out at Eat n Lick, a popular fast-food outlet located along the main street near Border Lodge in Mutare, around 15:20 hours on Thursday afternoon.
The Wasu Post witnessed the incident and captured footage showing flames shooting from the restaurant’s chimney, prompting panic among nearby businesses and pedestrians.
Quick-thinking staff at Eat n Lick managed to extinguish the fire before the arrival of the Mutare Fire Brigade, who came a few minutes later. No injuries were reported.
At the time of publication, the cause of the fire had not yet been established.
The restaurant remained closed following the incident as officials assessed the extent of the damage. Further investigations are expected.
